For those that know me, my addiction to chairs is quite clear. My bedroom alone houses 4 vintage chairs of various shapes and sizes and I'm continuously collecting more and more to bring back to life.
This in mind, imagine my delight when I watched one of my already favourite designers Balmain hit the catwalk at Paris SS13 Fashion Week with a textile that reminded me of an old cane chair we once had in the bathroom of my childhood home!
Sure the bold manly shapes and lines that we have come to love them for were there on the runway looking amazing - but cane looking structures now that's impressive.
