Blue Tuesday

Looking through fashion video's is one of my favourite things to do - think the new Lana Del Ray 'Ride' clip and the videos you get through the Russh ipad app but it seems many brands are now using video to create lookbooks too.

The result of this is often quite magical and the movement can really bring a piece to life but I can't help but think there is something extra special about the carefully selected stills that we love about the traditional lookbook.

Below are a few of my very favourites from the Planet Blue August lookbook that has me swooning every time I cast my eye over it!

Daily Discovery

I always love when I stumble from site to site and discover something new that is a true classic.

My journey today began on the Samantha Wills page where I was pining over her upcoming stationary range as a collaboration with Kelly Smith of 'Birdy and Me' Illustrations.

From there I pined over the many beautiful drawings on the 'Birdy and Me' Etsy site, that in turn introduced me to another collaboration Kelly has worked on - beautiful illustrations to accompany L'avion scarves.

Once on the L'avion site I was truly mesmerised the combination of art and fashion, these two fabulous things merging always earns true cred in my books so I really wanted to share with you a few of my favourite pieces that depict cities from all over the world.

Take me to a desert island it's Monday

For every big time international label I love there are usually are several local labels that I draw inspiration from everyday.

One of my favourites is Spell Designs. Not only do they inspire me to push the envelope with my own designs but everything that they represent makes me want to pack up my city life and go live with them in Byron Bay but alas that cannot be, (for now) so instead from time to time I can be seen swanning around the office in their laid back pieces and ethereal jewels.
